I have this album on vinyl and CD and was interested to hear this remixed SACD. This is a bit of a quirky album to be sure with Joe exercising some orchestral talent with Pavane and Song for Emma then flipping 180 with All Night Laundry Mat Blues which does not quite fit...however...they do sound ... more

Well, I like Dire Straits, however this album was not a favourite...please read on. I own this album on CD and a mate lent me his SHM SACD. What a difference. ("of course!" It's 2014 and Avalon was a leap of faith here for me. Let me tell you why. I'm realatively new to SACD. This High Fidelity Pure Audio Blu-Ray edition does sound quite muddy on quite a few tracks. Having said that, I do not have any previous CDs, vinyl etc to compare it to.
