This was my second SACD purchase. The Mult-Channel aspects of this SACD are very good. I feel as if I am right there amongst the performers. The vocals are great and the variety on the SACD is very good. I enjoy listening to this one. If you at all like swing, you'll like this. |

These guys are GOOD! The first track "Fragile" is mismerizing, I never heard "Carmen Suite" played any better. The only criticism I have is that many of the tracks between the opening and ending of this SACD seem to be too much of a guitar exhibition, rather than an orchestration. The recording ... more |

Judging from the Amazon.com reviews, this is a rather controversial interpretation of "The New World Symphony". Excellent if essentially small scaled reading of the concerto. In the book the orchestra states it is the size that might have been expected in Brahms' day, but, after listening to the Concertgebow play this in a 70s recording it just seems a little light.
