First of all, this is a great blues recording. Junior Wells is a master, and he never sounded better that he does here. The guest musicians accompany Juniour without trying to overshadow him. Secondly, I love the multi-channel mix on this sacd. One of the best I've heard.

I bought a special two-disc version of the original recording of GOLD, which added several songs to the overall running time. I am a huge fan of Oasis, so I am bound to be a little more forgiving for this SACD than most. My advice to any other die-hard Oasis fans is to buy this SACD but consider the source material when evaluating it. This SACD has quickly come to be one of my favorites. Great tunes, great performances -- all remeastered by Steve "King Midas" Hoffman. The cover tells you that the song "Boogie Chillen'" was remastered from a 78 disc, as tape wasn't used for recordings back then, but this information is not a ... more

A great recording of a heartfelt set of performances.
