This is a fabulous disc !. The LAPO sounds in glorious form, with a well integrated sound, and, at the same time each family, or group, of instruments having a distinct personality. Excellent disc by Elly Ameling. Although she was mainly a lieder and oratorio interpreter, she very rarely ventured into the opera-house. Very good disc of rather standard repertoire. Colin Davis conductts an excellent Haydn, and a very good Beethoven.
