Among the young violin virtuosos, Julia Fisher appears to me to be one of the outstanding exponents of her generation. And this disc proves it amply. An interesting disc. It includes 3 works, of which only the Mozart Violin cto. 5 is a widely known one. The other two, Scubert Rondo in A for violin and orchestra and Mendelssohn Concerto fr violin in d (composed when he was 13! ) are lesser known works that deserve to be widely appreciated by the ...
