This recording ranks among the most natural sounding in my collection regardless of format: LP, CD and now SACD. Munch's 1960 recording with the BSO remains one of the most widely honored performances of the past several decades. This is an absolutely superb remaster of these old hits from the sixties. The sound quality is far superior to the now OOP collection on the Rhino label, more transparent and detailed.
