Performance: Sonics: |
I was surpised by this Sacd from a litte know conductor because I found it excellent in every way. First the sonics is one of the best Pentatone Sacd I heard , natural, very musical whith perfect soundstage and deep bass. The music comes out very well and is a fascinating one, plenty of magic touches. Strongly recommended

I almost did not buy this SACD because of the mixed reviews. Castor's review: "First, the sound quality is, for the most part, unappealing. It gives a harsh metallic edge to the strings, and climaxes are brash and sometimes congested, even in MC". This is one of the finest recordings I have ever heard. There is no congestion on the climaxes and they are stunning. The strings are smooth and beautiful. I listened in two channel but this is a recording not to be missed at least for sound quality. The piece by Shostakovich "The Bolt" is not a piece I was familiar with but I loved it and to repeat myself the sonics are amazing with incredible climaxes.
