Jigs, Reels, Flings the whole bit. Real "Down Home Fiddlin'" played at some points with fabulous "Foot Stompin" intensity with possible floor damaging potential! Great playing with equally great sonic quality. IMHO everyone should have at least one example of the genre in their library and this SACD is very worthy of that position. Highly recommended.

This is a terrific album! The opening number is one of the best. It's so good, in fact, that my 16 year old boy, came into the listening room to tell me how much he liked it. Now that's cross-over music, friends.

The sound stage is very wide and the sonics are top notch. This album has become one that I come back to again and again because it sounds so good and is totally involving. Oh, this is a Rounder album, so Alison Krause makes a guest appearance. Overall, a very different and enjoyable album.
