Thank God for the Steve Wilsons of the world. And for those individual artists willing to "upgrade" to multichannel because the conglomerates have NO interest in doing so.

Yes - absolutely. And it would seem, the Jakko Jakszyks of this world. I wonder how his attempts are coming on with ELP's "Trilogy" and "Brain Salad Surgery" in 5.1.

I'm sure with a name like Jakko Jaksyks, he's in full control of the joystick!

Yes - and a name like that would have to have been dreamt up, wouldn't it!?

I surprised this release offer the Vangelis version used on the film and not the New American Orchestra version, which is the version we all loved since it appear.
The Vangelis version is contemplative and cold as a android:

By comparison the same song on the New American Orchestra version is romantic, emotional and live as a human being:

I would like both versions in one SACD.

Thanks for the recommendations on this title. Despite having been one my favorite movies for decades, I had never heard the soundtrack until I received the SACD this week. It's wonderful. I especially enjoy the extra tracks that aren't heard in the film.

The dialogue is a little distracting, but it's only heard in small snippets at the beginning of a few tracks, and I'm getting used to it.
