Take note: DSanchez saved others $284.99, the low price at Amazon.

???????

The box which contains the 6 discs is still over $100 over the cost of the SACDs ($180), individually!

IMO, a ripoff for a "container."

But according to Acoustic Sounds, the individual Doors SACDs are NOT numbered....just the Vinyl and SACD boxed sets which are limited to 2500 copies each.

For collectors and cats, only (cats love boxes in which to hide)!

To replace those who have 'faithfully' departed........when your "number's" Up............

BTW, I wouldn't be swayed by one negative review (DSanchez). I have never encountered a bad sounding AP SACD remaster.

DSanchez prefers Steve Hoffman's remastering work on The Doors' DCC gold CDs to Doug Sax's minimalist approach. He's entitled to his opinion -- he said in his review that he owns dozens of AP jazz SACDs. Site reviews of classic rock SACDs on different labels highlight strong positive and negative opinions about current reissues. It would be hard to base a purchasing decision on one review if you don't know the reviewer's personal preferences and the sound system he's using to judge the recording.
