A desperately needed welcome addition to the catalogue. The other 25 versions are not very good.

Oh, come on! Nott is very decent conductor unlike Zander or Zinman....
BTW every conductor feels he should do the entire cycle....this is typical. I am not buying this NOTT - maybe after Xmas or maybe later.....

well, as it happens I do indeed think that from the 10 on SACD that I have, only two or three (Abbado, Eschenbach, and perhaps Fischer) are exceptional, so yes Nott's is very welcome, as I'm certain his M6 will be top notch (as was his M7), at least interpretation wise.

Also released next month is Nott's Mahler 8, which should be superb in multichannel. I heard the digital radio broadcast of one of that concert's series, and it was stunning in POS. The Tudor SACD, derived from the same concerts of course, is something I certainly await eagerly....despite the fact that I own a number of MCH and POS recordings of The Symphony of (Almost) a Thousand.

Well, no one would ever accuse you of hyperbole. HA!
