Today is the release date for this...I have no hopes that it'll be worth having. But I would certainly be interested in how someone brave enough to buy this thinks it sounds. :-D

Let's wait for some review and hence have a snapshot of what to expect.

Itll depend on someone brave enough to put his/hers money into this box.....me not. As it turns out, there is at least 1 person who recommends it.

Yesterday I received my BOX-SET, but I think it will take me all week to value it more or less. Last night I heard a couple of times "The Yes Album", "Going for the One" and "Yes", the experience was quite pleasant by first and maybe a little better than I expected, but I still have the acid test: "Close to the Edge", "Fragile" and "Tales". I'am completely agree with sylvian, in my case I do not understand so much of dynamic range tests and all that, I prefer trust in my ear. You can hear this music louder with less volume, dynamics feels quite spacious and the sound is warm. It is important to understand that the sound "YES" tends to brilliance and treble. I have the impression that in the remastering was attempted to achieve the most natural sound closer to the vinyl. As I heard the other albums, I will comment. Bazcrim: I hope you receive soon your Box-Set to exchange views. I received it in lightning time: 1 week. The albums I heard are sampled at a rate of 24bit-88.2kHz in PCM usual for SACD, so it seems to have been a big mistake the 24-96. The book contains the lyrics to all the songs of Box-Set in Japanese and English.

What really interests me is the Revealing Science of God - does it have Ricks intro or is this the version originally released on the first edition LP?

also it would be nice to have your assesment on Tormato.....which has always suffered the worst digital transfer ever.

You could shed a light on "organ" tracks critical places CTTE+Parallels+Awaken as well.

Also any comparison with the infamous AF releases?

Just received box set yesterday. Firstly, The Revealing Science of God is as per the original album, no introduction as per the Rhinos. Packaging is not papersleeve, but standard jewel cases with single fold card inserts. All lyrics, cover artwork reproduced in box booklet. Not had chance to listen in detail yet. Playing Soundchaser now. Promising!

Ok you mean the Audio Fidelity by Steve Hoffman. Firstly I can tell you that "Going for The One" is very superior. The sound is wider and deeper, is listening louder than AF and also clearer with less amount of volumen in equal circumstances of equipment setup. In my opinion, they really did a good job of remastering at least the albums I've heard. I will devote a few days to listen them and we will wait for other opinions.

Any comparison you might have with the HDTracks 24/192 releases would also be helpful...glad to hear that there is hope for these yet. :D

Thanks....the only thing that worries me from your post is "louder".....hope this has nothing to do with compression. You can easily judge by listenin to "organ" tracks. Hopefully this set might turn my opinion on recent stereo-only releses.

Thanks - Relayer always sound somewhat sterile. Hope that TGoD is improved on this set.
