Above is a Public Facebook photo from friends of my friend.

What are your thoughts of it ?

I consider it exceptional. Mostly, a reminder for me that there's the outdoors, there's...

Yet, the Nicolas Grimaldi quote from http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=2820638527514
Les choses inanimées n’ont pas d’âme :
c’est nous qui leur prêtons la nôtre

SA-CDs and Blu-Ray (or whatever higher definition formats to come) are essentially "inanimate things" ? Whereby we 'lend our own soul to' with Hi-Fi...

Playback, perhaps only long after our deaths the greatest recording, trumping all before and after, is made. Well, then it's best we learn (not least, from one another) to try and enjoy what already exists in the present day ?

An emphasis on community propels my Postings, rather than the strictures surrounding SA-CD.net's genesis, 11 years ago.

Yes, easily, we can all 'have a go' at bashing Facebook and other social media. Nevertheless, they're testament that the world is more social. And I trust your time here...

And no, I've not a comparable personal photo I could have used. Closest, I've shared online, is, with Claudia—almost an antithesis :

Also, this remains my favourite quote :
Time is anything but the popular triptych: a no-longer existing Past, the durationless point of the Present, and a "not-yet" that may never come. No. There are only two panels. The Past (ever-existing in my mind) and the Present (to which my mind gives duration and, therefore, reality). If we make a third compartment of fulfilled expectation, the foreseen, the foreordained, the faculty of prevision, perfect forecast, we are still applying our mind to the Present.
— Vladimir Nabokov

Whereas the Thread title quote is taken from Robert Grudin.

Like 'Lunnar' Alex in /showthread/115712/116157#116157 and 'sgb' Steve in /showthread/115745/115784#115784 I too am aware of time...

Or quite simply Wilhelm's playful/very liberal reimagining of the Philip Glass opus "Einstein On The Beach."

And One of Einstein's peculiar traits was never wearing socks. His rationale: why wear shoes and socks when just wearing shoes, alone, would suffice.

Had you ever thought of applying to the UN for a job as an Ambassador?

I can hear the birds falling from the trees. Peace in our time!

Wonder if Einstein also applied a similar rationale of not wearing boxers or tighty whities beneath his trousers, hiredfox?

Einstein's "Redundancy or Irrelativity Theories?"

What does that picture have anything to do with MUSIC.

Personal photos should be kept on Facebook NOT here.
