I think only available directly from the Pink Floyd store, a Division Bell 5.1 Mix DVD, a single disc for $14.99. I haven't seen this anywhere else. And I don't have the proper information to submit it to this data base.

I've gotten an email saying that they are shipping now and mine is on backorder and should ship soon.

This is a great alternative for those of us who would like purchase but can't afford the box set.

Greetings klcheshire,
pardon, almost exactly as my last Post...

It seems you've not read /showthread/1729//y?page=first 'Welcome! You must read this before posting (updated February 1, 2013)' ?

I ask, not just to you, why such urgency ?

And of you, would it not be better for readers that your words were from after the first listen and also, secondly, a comparison with the Blu-ray 5.1 mix (borrowed from a friend...

Wilhelm,

I kindly ask you to leave this to the admins. It's a reasonable alternative.

I read that this DVD, due to lack of space, will not include the lossless 96/24 stereo mix of the BD-A.
It will, however, include a 48KHz stereo mix (bit depth not revealed) by James Guthrie, as well as 5.1DD and 5.1DTS mixes.

Warner in Europe are shipping both the separate DVD-V and Deluxe box set w/Blu-ray Audio now, I received the DVD-V yesterday and the 5.1 really does sound wonderful with a thoroughly immersive surround mix. It's hard to imagine lossy DTS (the 5.1 is 1536kbps @ 48khz) sounding any better and at least it's a much cheaper alternative than the £100 box set at £15.

Thanks for that - I might decide to order the DVD-V when I see where I can easily order it from in the UK. Although I'd much rather have a DVD-A or SACD multi-channel audio disc, DTS can sound very good at times - at least that's how it seems in my relatively limited experience.

Pink Floyd website don't even list the DVD as available anymore. Mine is on backorder, saying maybe up to a month before delivery.

Just got the email, mine has shipped. Two week earlier than they said they'd have more.

Odd how they use UPS Mail Innovations to mail something that weighs 0.1050 lbs.
