Hopefully I am not breaking the rules, but better to break them once then continued times. I have read the forum rules.
This forum is open to SA-CD newbies, committed music lovers, audiophiles, industry professionals ... anybody with an interest (professional, technical or consumer) in SA-CD.
I will just get to point. I have used this sites search box for Hendrix (Nothing) and Zeppelin (one). So there is my answer there are no SACD or Blu Ray versions, non video, discs available for Hendrix for instance.
That said where does one go to read reviews of non SACD or Blu Ray titles that have the spunk that you all seem to have?
Amazon reviews sometimes get me confused as I am not 100% sure what actual disc they are talking about.
So as you see I am interested in SACD but in lieu of any disc not being available in SACD whats a poor boy to do?

Used to be you could search for something and it would bring up any and all discussions about something, including what you asked for. No longer as it has been determined to be something the owner here doesn't want.

Try searching (for instance) in Google 'Zeppelin SA-CD.net thread'

or: zeppelin sacd.net.site

To search this site add "site:sa-cd.net" to your query (obviously omitting the quotation marks).

That said, I think the question is more along the lines of where to find other good reviews of Zeppelin/Hendrix that are similar in tone to the reviews here.

Of course, if just looking for Zep in high-res, you can get it from Qobuz: http://www.qobuz.com/fr-fr/interpreter/led-zeppelin/download-streaming-albums by selecting the "Studio Masters" resolution.

No Qobuz access yet for those of us living in the USA. "Qobuz is not available for your country."

Experience Hendrix LLC tightly controls all legitimate releases of his recordings, with the exception of outtakes and live shows that had been in possession of his late manager, Michael Jeffery.

Sony has reissued the Hendrix catalog in RBCD and very good-sounding LPs with the participation of recording engineer Eddie Kramer. If there exist digital transfers from the original 2-channel mixes that are not heavily processed with compression and EQ, such transfers would sound close to the original analog masters via Blu-Ray or high-res download, and of course, SACD.

Good to know Undertone. I kind of thought that the family had something to do with it as they probably want too much money or can't agree on things. One of the most highly influential guitarists of all time to never make it into the highest audio available is a bummer to us the fans.
Thank you for mentioning the CD's with the Eddie Kramer participation, I was kind of looking for that, hopeing that his input would make the new CD's at least the most current, best version.
Well if the family is reading, I am sure there is a buck to be made in SACD's, Blu Ray, etc.

Jimi Plays Monterey and Shake! Otis Redding at Monterey are available on a single Criterion Blu-Ray disc. I believe the audio is remixed from the original live recordings.

For Hendrix in good quality standard resolution audio, I own, and can recommend the CD and LP of "First Rays of the New Rising Sun" (Sony Legacy), and "Live at the Fillmore East" (MCA).
