Similar for Devialet on-line at their website here:

http://en.devialet.com/assets/Systems/complete-specs-EN.pdf

These are listed as Ultralinear Class A amplifiers.

Checked few magazines with class-d amp measurements:

Hypex UCD700HG: S/N 76 dB
Bel Canto C7r: S/N 77 dB
Pioneer Susano AV receiver: S/N 80 dB (other comparable AV amps in same test 93-95 dB)

All A-weighted.

Sorry not available online.

Okay, too bad not available online. But then not everything is online, even now.
Nonetheless, even if the manufacturer specifications I was able to find are discounted with the usual grain of salt, they are far superior to the integrated Bel Canto, Pioneer AV (and other AV units) and the older Hypex.
So we all can be happy.

There's a lot of information there, but if you scroll down a little to page 2 and 3, they explain what they call their "Analog-Digital Hybrid" implementation.

Devialet, like Benchmark, is making their own version of a class D hybrid. People can dismiss or try to explain it away, but modern class D and these new hybrids are getting outstanding reviews and feedback from both DIY and ready-made customers.

I think Amonra is right to bring up this thread. My follow up: If people here are seeking out the best possible audio (e.g. by pursuing high-res audio such as SA-CD, blu-ray, DSD downloads, etc.), then wouldn't it make sense to also pursue the best possible amplification to do the recording justice? And the best engineered speakers? etc. etc. notice I'm not saying the most expensive, but the best engineered and performing.

It's just silly to completely dismiss all class D and/or class D hybrids. ICE class D, various proprietary class D, Hypex class D, and D hybrids are not the same.

I tried the Devialet D-Premier at home and I preferred my inexpensive Class AB amplifier. Of course the Devialet has many features that are of no interest to me. HiFi News gave the Devialet their highest SQ rating , IMO like others they are have been seduced by appearance, technology & small size. I found it very amusing that the retailer who gave the home demo rang me later and said my speakers were not good enough, LOL.

I would rely on HiFi News which is one of the few remaining sources of true professional audio journalism left over anything I read on an internet forum posted by amateurs.

If that's not a positive review......

Also, Disbeliever just curious what kind of speakers you do have, you didn't mention.

Best to have multiple subjective reviews,

If only one site reviews it or none at all, I dismiss the product outright,

Best to hear it in your own system. Or if not possible hear it in store.

Never buy based on a review or specs.

If you are referring to Devialet - then you're joking, right? Search the internet, google 'Devialet review' or whatever, not just for one of their products, but any/all Devialet products. There are many not just positive, but rave, reviews. When multiple reviewers are saying things like game changer, paradigm shift in amplification etc.etc. I will at least pay attention. I find the comments/Devialet article from Jeff Fritz at UltraAudio particularly interesting.

Look, I've never heard Devialet and I probably never will. The new Benchmark hybrid amp is more within reach, as is Rogue Audio using Hypex. But that's not the point. Technology advances as civilization continues, some areas faster than others. You can cling to the past and swear off anything new......or you can at least remain open minded. I just find it ironic when someone is pursuing hi-res audio such as SA-CD, but remains absolutely committed to old amp technology that at least to me seems to be have been surpassed.

Next up is Linkwitz Labs two new models of speakers - perhaps the best new speaker engineering that most have never heard of......but I'll leave that for another time!

I totally agree and that includes Hi-Fi News & Record Review IMO a totally political magazine whilst its technical reports are mostly correct its subjective comments I seldom agree with.
