Chicago Transit Authority would be good.

It's coming on SACD from MoFi and don't be surprised if they incorporate the 4.0 Rhino mix onto the SACD.

If you ever heard the Rhino DTS QUAD, it's immensely discreet and very dynamic but would still like to hear it in a lossless format.

Really? When's that? Also, they could have released Chicago VI in MCH, but they didn't

Looking forward to this 5.1 HFPA release that I ordered from Amazon and has an arrival date of 12/9. Question: Is the HFPA 5.1 mix done by Steven Wilson, the same as the box set?

Yes, the HFPA also has the Original Stereo mix in 24/96, as well as Steven Wilson's new Stereo & 5.1.. the DVD-A in the box lacks the Original Stereo.

Holy! Holy! Oh My! Buy It!

Received my HFPA disc last night Songs From The Big Chair. Turned off lights, sat in my spot. Hit the play button, had my finger on the volume and....

This 5.1 disc is so awesome, absolutely perfect. Was my system running at peak perfection? Absolutely. My digital read out 6 channel amp was showing what I already knew, all speakers firing in perfect harmony. Back loaded, side loaded, front loaded, cross loaded. This Steven Wilson cat is on fire.

I had so much reservation to purchase this because I was very happy with my stereo SHM SACD.

This new disc has finally tipped me over the edge. After listening to Fredblue and Rammiepie, and others. I now only want multi channel.

Mono is for fathers of the revolution, Stereo is for my grandfather, multi channel is where it is at.

Industry leaders: We are waiting for you to give us what we want. Everything in multi channel!

Nah! Love good mono and older stereo. Mch has its place, but some of those old recordings just sound better the way they originally were recorded--Beatles, for example.

Hmmmm .... I would like to give these Beatles albums in 5.1 a listen ;-)

Anyway - the Tears for Fears - Songs from the Big Chair 5.1 BDA is in my opinion the highlight of year (Hi Res music)

The DVD has the exact same content as the Blu Ray as follows...

DVD-A

2014 Mix

MLP 5.1 96/24
DTS 5.1 96/24 (1536kbps)
MLP 2.0 96/24

1985 Mix

MLP 2.0 96/24

DVD-V

2014 Mix

DTS 5.1 96/24 (1536kbps)
Dolby Digital 48/24 (448kbps)
PCM 2.0 96/24

1985 Mix

PCM 2.0 96/24

The only difference is the Blu Ray delivers the hi-res audio as PCM & DTS-MA HD as opposed to the DVD-A which uses MLP.

Oh dear.. I stand corrected! My apologies (I now know how I missed that Stereo on the DVD-A but I can't go into it here) .. either way they're both great discs eh Rob!
