Interesting. I had this on vinyl, and the sound seemed pretty raw and ropey. Perhaps Blu-Ray will improve that.

According to HDTT's own website, this is NOT listed as a blu ray audio disc.

Just in case you weren't aware of it, HDTT doesn't use master tapes, but consumer tapes as a source for their releases ("Transferred from a RCA 4-track tape"). So the result depends on the quality of those tapes.
You can download a 24/96 sample on their homepage.

Not so. HDTT also features releases direct from original master tapes (Albany, DTR and Klipsch, for example) and a fairly recent project with recordings seeing their first-ever release on HDTT, all 5.0 high-res surround.

The website is in the process of being updated to reflect new releases on Blu-Ray, including the Mahler.

Thank you for the update, John.
I have watched with great interest as HDTT has greatly expanded their title selection and upgraded their modus operandi of delivery of said titles.
And to Claude: yes, a plethora of HDTT's titles are indeed from commercially duplicated Open Reel tapes/LPs but, IMHO and on MY equipment some of them sound simply amazing. And as John stated, some of HDTT's titles are derived from 15ips master tapes, resulting in some surprising sonics.
Stay tuned.

Well, the Blu-ray Audio release is deleted. There is only DVD-Audio available.

Mention of '5.0 high-res surround' got me thinking/ hoping the BDA of Mahler's 8th and 10th by Wyn Morris might include a surround sound option, but it seems this one is stereo only.
