I purchased this SACD Multi Channel and listened last night, and I thought it was great. My system loved it also.

There are 8 great reviews from 10 years ago, almost like going back in a time capsule.

I will try to get a review out with the 2015 mind and possibly better equipment then the old reviewers.

A fine album but mostly ambience in the rears which is fine with me. Should be played LOUDLY.

Will be looking forward to your 'comprehensive' review (1000 words or less), Marky!

Really wish Universal would release Harrison's "All Things Must Pass" on a single layered SHM~SACD. Now, that would be special. And put it in those little boxes to replicate the original VINYL edition which was a very classy affair. http://georgeharrison.umg-wp3-dev.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/ATMP_40_packshot1.jpg

Had it, love George, but this isn't really that great of a disc.

Harrison's solo projects were always a hit or miss proposition. I guess you just had to be there regarding Live In Japan. Also wish they'd reissue Concert for Bangladesh on SHM~SACD, as well.

BTW, FD, did you ever watch Martin Scorsese's excellent Harrison documentary "Living In The Material World." Was shown on HBO but is also available on BD~V. Very well done, IMHO and the 5.1 audio is stunning!

I bought this disk as soon as it was released and it was only $10 or $11 dollars at Best Buy. Those were the days.

It's been a while, but I recall the rears being mostly ambient sounds and it wasn't the most spectacular disk but I liked it well enough. I need to listen again since it been quite a while and am interested in a new review.

I was just listening to Synchronicity which I hadn't heard in a while and it sounds pretty good, lots of bass, drums shine and Sting's voice sounded very good and I know that there are those that hate the Police SACD's. If I can find my original CD of this disc I might try to do an A/B and also do my first review.

Well, at the very least YOU are ALIVE in Japan, Brett.

Yes, Love II would be astounding, followed by Love III & IV.
