You need a better transport.
Get one that will allow use of "Pure Direct" mode via HDMI if that's what you want to do.
Sony BDP-S7200 is a good starting point for this. Forget Marantz players as they're all re-badged Funai machines.
Are you still in the return window for the Marantz?
No,i m not...i ll just have to use analog outputs&Hdmi...

I don't even think you do need to use the analogue out.
I have the Denon DBT-3313 which is almost the same as the Marantz UD7007 and basically the same machine as yours with a few more options.
The Pure Direct modes switch off all video signals but audio is still sent through HDMI.
The difference between mode 1 and 2 is that mode 1 also switches off the front display whereas mode 2 doesn't.
The DBT-3313 and UD7007 also have an AV Pure Direct mode which uses the fact that the players have 2 HDMI outputs and therefore in this mode the Video is sent through one and the audio through the other.
I guess the manual is confusing is that it suggests that only analogue audio can be used in Pure Direct modes which is not the case.
I would suggest you give it a try. To me the SQ is marginally better but I also like the fact that the front display gets turned off.

I quite like the DBP-3313; it's the only Denon BDP I've ever considered, since it's designed and built by Denon and not some dodgy third-party vendor. Also it's a good match to my AVR because of Denon Link HD.

Actually "Pure Direct" mode on your BDP is redundant in your system. Use "Pure Direct" via HDMI on your NR1504 AVR. That's how my system was configured when I used "Pure Direct" a few years ago,
Just be aware that you will lose bass management and Audyssey functionality when "Pure Direct" is enabled.

I have nr1604marantz but it is quite the same as Nr1504...
