I am going to get high tonight and Head Hunters is first up, gotta do a day of work.

I noticed the best tweak I can do to my system is when I get loaded, everything sounds great.

I look forward to hearing how you get on with this album Mark, because jazz is a genre I'm only barely acquainted with (like you) pop/rock comprising the vast majority of my musical diet

Headhunters arrived today and I'm pleased to confirm this one is a hybrid stereo/multichannel release :)

Good deal, Derek. You will really enjoy this multi channel. It seems hard to believe that Herbie Hancock has been playing since he was a kid with Miles Davis. He was born in 1940.

His 47th album, River: The Joni Letters, won album of the year in 2008.

Head Hunters is his 13th 1973 album, great artist.

I had no idea Herbie was that old and that prolific! He's been a busy guy, that's for sure.

I agree, the multichannel mix is great and as my copy of Rattle that Lock also arrived today, I'm moving on to give that a spin too...

My favorite song is Rattle That Lock, quite catchy. He got the inspiration for the tune from a rail car in Paris that would ring the little tune before each stop.
