I'm hoping that the Dohnanyi / Cleveland recording of Dvorak's 7th symphony will be rehabilitated. That was on Decca, right?

He jests.
Like saying:
"Wow, Beethoven: Symphony No. 5 on SACD, has this been done before?"

Ah ah, didn't get it that way ;-)
An occasion for a reminder of the titles anyway :-)

There are 25 Mahler 3 releases on SACD (including duplicates).

Gustav Mahler - Symphony No. 3 in D minor

I'm looking forward to the more exotic material such as the Hindemith concerto, and it's a pity indeed that some of these new AP reissues duplicate recordings already done on SACD (in a "definitive" way with a high quality DSD transfer)

I'd trade at least fifteen of them for, oh, a single Triadic Memories or Gesualdo Fifth Book of Madrigals....

I don' want to sound ungrateful, but it seems to me that the team at analogue productions used the same poor title selection that they did in their Living Stereo series. Many of the deck at titles announced are still available and Japanese SHM-SACD pressings such as the Argenta/Rimsky Korsakov disc and the Ansermet Three-cornered hat. Of the titles listed, the Krips Schubert and the Curzon Trout quintet interest me as well as the Oistrakh/Bruch. Another welcome Decca reissue would be the Maag Mozart disc with the Concerto for four orchestras. It has wonderful definition even on the Decca Legends RBCD incarnation.

I overlooked that Argenta SHM SACD when it came out. Nobody has it for less than $50 and ultra slow risky shipping from Japan. Looks like the APO will be the way to go now for that one.

At least I got the Ansermet in time, and for a good price. That's an extremely good sounding SHM SACD. I'd guess it was made from Esoteric's mastering.

Oistrakh's Hindemith recording is a classic but I've always found the accompaniment notably dull. Bernstein and Paavo Jarvi are more idiomatic and interesting.

I would also like to see them reissue the Maag/Mendelssohn recordings of the Scottish Symphony and the Midsummer Nights dream incidental music. Classic in every way and wonderful sound.

No, definitely not. I had the Esoteric for quite a while, and only when CD Japan had a sale on some of the SHM's (and following positive comments from fellow contrubutors here) did I decide to try the SHM-SACD. Despite other people's opinions I am generally a fan of the Esoteric series (try their Boult Holst Planets!!), but the SHM is STUNNINGLY better than the Esoteric. Inside the sleeve it does confirm a new transfer was used. Can't imagine that the AP will better that one, but at least an excellent SACD of these titles will again be available at a reasonable price for newcomers.

But I do echo other comments about AP's re-issue choices. When you count in FIM's excellent XRCD re-issues of some of the Deccas, there's only 3 new ones in the whole set. I'll probably buy them all except the 3 that have had SHM-SACD issues but with the riches of the Decca catalogue it is very frustrating.
