Indeed, this is fantastic news. Now if we can get Rhino off their a$$ and release more YES albums, and switch to SACD. I would repurchase Fragile just to get it on hybrid SACD.

So what do they want, a bl**dy medal? I want these as much as anyone else but they could have been released ages ago.

With respect, Genesis aren't the Beatles. The release schedule would suggest that they are just as important. If the tour is the reason for the delay and the members of Genesis are saying they don't need more £millions then what is going on?

Wasn't there recent talk of a reunion gig after the 3 man tour and also an Album of new material. It would make good marketing sense to release the old line-up discs at the same time as a new release with the old line-up. Just a guess.

I'm a bit miffed too because the only ones I'm interested in are the Gabriel Genesis albums.

As of right now, no new Genesis album planned. However, I think the release schedule coincide with the possiblity of Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett joing the 3-some for some shows in late 2007/early 2008. Peter Gabriel has mentioned he's open to this possibility.

I couldn't agree with you more. "Close to the Edge" is the Yes album I'd really love to hear on SACD, and I admit I was very disappointed when I saw "Fragile" appear on DVD-A! The Genesis news is great too -- in my opinion, however, the best ones are the ones coming out last like "Foxtrot" and "Selling England by the Pound". Just my opinion. of course.

IMHO, the fact that "Fragile" was just released on audiophile CD excludes a SACD reissue in the near future.

The news says: "its most successful incarnation was the late 70's early 80's line-up of Phil Collins taking on lead vocals and sharing songwriting, with Rutherford and Banks"

Not exactly what I think. Sucess dosen't always meen better

I will wait for the 2007/early 2008 releases.

That's real great news!
