I just added buy links to Amazon for about 100 titles (and will add more over the coming days). You can see an example here:

Maybe you could mention this is amazon.com in the dropbox?
Especially because a lot of people will be using amazon.co.uk or amazon.fr for their SACD shopping.

stephen, the links to the other european amazon sites are welcome, but why not amazon.co.uk. They are significantly cheaper than either .com or the .de or .fr sites for many discs, allowing for currency conversion of course e.g. the Hyperion Kings Consort double set, all Linn and Channel Classics discs etc, and even Delos and some other american labels are priced better on .co.uk than on .com, (which is pretty odd). A search on .co.uk also brings up more than twice as many classical sacds as .com. And i've always found them good to deal with, - i'm sure they'd come to the party.

Another good thing about amazon.co.uk is that if you live outside the EU, they automatically remove the VAT (17.5% or something) at checkout, making it even cheaper. Their shiping (at least to Norway) is also cheaper (GBP 1.79 vs. USD 5.98 for a one SACD).

In my experience, searches on non-specialty sites won't highlight anywhere near the number of SACDs they actually have. So far I've done: amazon.com (709), amazon.de (737), amazon.fr (194) and iclassics.com (166). These numbers are after weeding out the duplicates and wrongly classified titles. Hopefully people will come to see the value of having all these links here in one place to enable price comparison or just for convenience ... and sometimes to actually find the damn title on the site! Each vendor is a fair bit of work but I'm hoping it will all be worthwhile (he said pointedly). I'll look into amazon.co.uk.

OK, I've now added amazon.co.uk with just under 600 titles. There's probably more SACDs hidden on the site but it's pretty tedious cross-correlating ASINs with other amazon sites. If anybody spots obvious missing links, let me know and I'll just add them.

Stephen
