I just added a new vendor, jpc. They seem to be pretty big in Europe and are pro-active on SA-CD. I've added links to over 900 titles already. Here's their home page:

http://www.jpc.de/jpcng/home/home/-/iampartner/a98

Click on the US/UK flags at top right to see menus in English. I haven't yet bought anything from them myself, so I'd be interested in any feedback.

I order regularly from them and never had a complaint. Each month they offer some great bargains, plus they have a good selection of SACD and DVD Audio. The only drawback may be that the shipping outside Germany might be expensive. Here in Germany you pay no shipping for an order above 50 Euro.

I tried your links yesterday morning I think. The English page was nice enough while it lasted.

Once I clicked on their checkout button, it switched back to German. I tried clicking on the Brit/US flags again to turn the check out pages into English, but nothing happened, so I went through the checkout process in German.

Either there's a way to keep switching the checkout pages to English, or folks need either German or an online translator for some of the text on there.

Good to know they ship "daily" to the US and Canada, but most Canadians I know don't speak German. And my own German is getting pretty rusty...

Other than that, it was fairly easy to go through the check out process. It takes about five pages, but everything is nicely done to take you step by step.

I'll probably buy from there again.

I orderd the Snowpatrol SACD from them yesterday, I too know very little German, but did manage to get the order placed, I'll report back when hopefully the goods arrive.

Price wise, with shipping the total was about £19.50 GBP, which is not too bad IMHO

just send them a mail asking about that. Usually one gets soon a reply.

JPC is a long established mail order service, I ordered from them before the internet days. Prices are a bit higher than at Amazon.de, which offers free shipping to Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Luxembourg.

But their catalogue is more complete than Amazon.de

I haven't ordered from JPC for years, so I cannot report on the quality of their service.

I buy from JPC all the time. Their service is absolutely excellent. One shipment was apparently delayed by US Customs for some reason; all I knew is that I didn't get it. I emailed JPC and they sent out a new shipment immediately. The new one arrived, then the original arrived about 2 weeks later. I contacted JPC to send back the duplicate and they paid for return shipping of the duplicate without me ever having to say a word, even though none of it was their fault.

I would not hesitate to recommend them.

I recently made an order at JPC, and their service is very quick, although a bit odd. After I made the order online, I received a automatic confirmation email and a few days later a confirmation letter (international letter sent from Germany to Luxembourg)!

While my order was being processed, I wanted to make use of the "my jpc" feature on the website (shopping basket and order status check). The customer number needed for login was not in the confirmation email or letter. I emailed them to ask for my customer number and received it a day later. When trying to create my account I got the message that no email address was registered for my name (although it is in their database) so I could be sent the account password. I haven't yet emailed to ask them about this problem.

So the website has it's quirks, but their service is excellent. I received my SACDs, CDs and an LP even before the indicated shipping time. Amazon.de is much less reliable on that, but it offers the big adavantage of free shipping to Luxembourg (JPC shipping was 7 Euro)

I just placed an order with jpc and had the same problem myself. I queried this and was told:

"We can't send customer numbers in the confirmation because the numbers are generated in our back office while processing the orders. We send the customer numbers when shipping the order."

I'm looking forward to receiving my Caro Mitis Bach SA-CDs ... finally!

Well, this is an ancient thread, but I was curious and put "jpc" into the search bar. I have just placed a $200 order with them, based on the feedback from these forums. I ordered the following:

Chopin Scherzi Nr. 1-4 - Yundi Li
Bruckner Symphonie Nr. 3
Mozart Klarinettenkonzert KV 622 - VPO Bernstein
Deborah Polaski - Arien aus "Tristan und Isolde"
Beethoven Symphonie Nr. 9 - VPO - Bernstein
Peter Gabriel I (I am re-buying these PG discs because the US versions are single layer only, whereas the EU versions are Hybrids -- how stupid)
Peter Gabriel II
Peter Gabriel IV
Peter Gabriel So
Peter Gabriel Us
Verdi Requiem - VPO/Giulini

They said they have a flat rate for shipping and I hope they will honor that, since some items are available now and some are not coming out until the last wk in Feb. Anyway, I'm looking forward to some European exclusives to be shipped to my house. :-)
