Does anyone know about Amazon's CDNow? The Amazon site lists the 2 Litton Ives discs as SACDs at (I believe) $20+, but then shows them as available through CDNow at $9.99. But when you go to load them into your cart they call the discs CDs, not SACDs.
Since word on this site has been that Amazon has not been very good about rectifying problems, I really want to know before I pull the trigger.
Thanks,
Bret

I think that you are OK as long as it clearly said SACD in the Amazon title.
I recently purchased a number of SACDs from CDNow Buyers Club, and they were all SACDs (even though your cart will have them listed simply as CDs).

But the links from this site to Amazon may not necessarily be SACD (even though this site review is for SACDs). If it says SACD in the Amazon title, then my experience is they will be SACDs. But sometimes the title will be more ambiguous and you need to look into the reviews to see if its a true SACD. But, to make matters worse, Amazon seems to be doing some product substitution. So I've seen some customer reviews that were reporting on the SACD version, but the title, and description are for "remastered" or DSD remastered which may or may not be true SACDs.

The good news is that calling up Amazon customer service can get this straightened out if you report that they are not true SACDs. I emphasised their listing mistake (from a link from this site) and they are picking up return shipping and a full refund to me.

Well, my two Ives Symphonies arrived today, and lo and behind, they're redbook!
Ugh!
Can't these people get their collective acts together?!

I had a similar problem with the Tudor Schubert Unfinished. They did refund my money after sending the wrong thing (the rbcd) twice.

Well that's promising!

Thanks for the heads up!
