Bissie,

Any news on the continuation of the Sorabji Transcendental Studies project?
Thanks.

Part of a new record recorded, but not enough for a release.

The poor bugger must learn this superhumanly difficult music.
We're game...

After all my moaning on another thread about high pricing and not always so customer friendly approaches and slow downloads, from newcomers in the field. Now over to something completely different.
Musical joy and pleasure.
I have today in a couple of hours, and track by track,on slowish wi fi,downloaded my 63-rd hi res album from Bissie's eClassical.
Once again at bargain price 10.33 cents for the new Respighi's Brazilian Impressions album.
Very enjoyable and superbly orchestrated music and recording indeed.
Tonight I am off to hear another master orchestrator's work live.
It is after all Richard Stauss's year this year and I can't imagine a better way to celebrate that than by a live performance of his equally gloriously orchestrated work,Ein Heldenleben.
Are there any more Strauss releases planned from BIS this 150th anniversary year?

Has BIS considered offering its MCH recordings as downloads in their native PCM format? It is a small market, but it seems that it making them available would add revenue that exceeds the increase in costs for the eclassical site?

MCH flac would be perfect for the newly remastered Volumes 1 - 26 of the Suzuki Bach Cantatas, just now released only as part of the integral set of all 55 volumes in Japan.

Robert did promise us here, in this discussion group, that he would reconsider the plight of us loyal BIS supporters who have diligently purchased the SACD releases individually as they became available. Now some of us would like to acquire the older volumes newly remastered individually without being forced to buy the integral set.

Robert?

Hi, Robert. Will you be giving us any more Bruckner from Thomas Dausgaard and the SCO? Thanks, Simon.

Yes, this is high up on our agenda, but, as with Everything else having to do with reprogramming, it takes its time.

But, yes, absolutely, and at no price increase, either!

That Box in Japan has not yet been released, not before July!

There is much to consider, since we have released Boxes of different contents, which makes it very difficult for us to "concoct" Boxes that would complete the cycle in all different combinations.

I think that we probably would/could/intend to release those 27 volumes in MCh FLAC at a very special price for downloading, but physically/separately? Hardly.

To the best of my knowledge that is not in planning at this time.

Having multichannel flac downloads of the earlier cantata volumes would be very acceptable! Thank you, Robert.

As I said, I have written to Qobuz with my real name and position in order to demand an explanation, as these things could be rather damaging to us, and certainly tricks the buyer into paying for something it isn't, and never was, namely a 24/96 recording.

[...] I hope that this will not get that far with Qobuz, but the fact that they haven't even deigned to answer me in a week speaks badly for them.

Hey Robert, what happened with the Qobuz Studio Masters. Did they answer properly, why they sell 16-bit stuff as studio masters?
yours,
thomian
