Discussion: Handel: Organ Concertos Op. 4 - Egarr

The disc booklet says this recording is "Recorded, edited & mastered in DSD". It was recorded in November 2006 at St Jude's-on-the-Hill, Hampstead Garden, London and the sound is phenonemally good: crisp, clear and finely detailed.

I wonder how this new recording compares sonically with the much older (presumably originally analogue) Chorzempa recording of the Op. 4 concertos on Pentatone, which I own only on LP (!). Has anyone compared the SACDs?

I already have this SACD and can't take advantage of this offer myself, so I'll pass this along to those who don't. is offering the disc at half price for one week only (it's part of their ongoing Harmonia Mundi promotion in which a different disc is offered at half price each week). At today's exchange rate
(1 GBP = 1.50242 USD) the price, including shipping to the US, is about $11.30 USD.
