How did they escape Nonesuch?

Hi Dave,
Kronos have been been recording for Elektra Nonesuch since 1985 (Schulthorpe/Sallinen/Glass/Nancarrow/Hendrix*), so after 25+ years maybe the contract expired. I would think KQ would have their pick of any label they liked, given their stellar history. I DO wish they had kept their original cellist, Joan Jeanreneaud, for sentimental reasons ;-)

*Anyone -- Osbert Parsley included -- who hasn't heard Harrington, Sherba, Dutt and Jeanrenaud do Hendrix' "Purple Haze", simply hasn't lived yet.

Note the following on the Dacapo web page for this release:
"Kronos Quartet appears courtesy of Nonesuch Records."

Thanks Andrew. It is nice to know that Kronos isn't biting the hand that kept it fed it throughout its successful career (unlike Fräulein Fischer...).
