Great to hear! Your in for a musical and sonic treat, this is one of my favorite SACDs!

I'm going to write Harmonia Mundi requesting more SACDs fron Gregorio Paniagua and Atrium Musicae de Madrid. He did about a dozen and there are all fabulous!

I did find the Spike Jones element tedious after a while.

Yes, but if you save this disc for special occasions -- it's great for International Music Day -- the sound of the [?] being sawed in half is an auditory delight undiminished through the years. And the Citroen going out and coming back with the pizza... Ah! Stravinsky would've approved!

What I find really, really tedious is the inverted fugue in the second subject which Bach stick into almost everything he writes; I mean like, get a life, J.S!

;-)

Hi everyone,

This SACD is listed as a Stereo/Multichannel release...but I can't find any reference to the multichannel layer either here or elsewhere. Can someone who owns this confirm that the SACD does or does not have a multichannel layer?

Thanks!
Josh

It's stereo only. An analogue recording from 1980.

Thank you Claude.

Harmonia Mundi added synthesized multichannel to their first batch of titles. They're marked as stereo on the back but will play in multichannel, and hence identified as such here.
