In his review of this disc hiredfox assumes the LSO don't use Watford Town Hall as a recording venue because of cost. Erm, the label LSO Live! might be a clue to why this is so :)

In any event St Luke's in Old Street is an ideal venue for (non-live) recording sessions. It's a stone's throw from the Barbican and, if Kenneth Fuchs's Canticle to the Sun (Naxos) is anything to go by, the acoustics are pretty good as well.
