Well I bought this album off ebay thinking it would be even better than the org CD version but sorry to say I was disapointed I even put it back on ebay to sell on if only they made it in Multi Channel, I think then it would have been alot better.

Yes this two channel mix is the same as the (new) CD mix. I cannot hear any difference there either. There is no point in making SACD's like this. The original version of the LP/CD is different and still audibly worse .... (but of course the LP freaks love it because of the lack of both high and low frequencies and the special noise of friction on vinyl).

There are not any good multi-channel mixes available. The DTS version of Abraxas is terribly bad ... so keep the SACD because you cannot get anything better.

I had the original LP and CD. I have a DAT (Digital Audio Tape) copy of the Columbia Limited Edition 20 bit 'Super Bit Mapping' gold CD and now The SACD version. After reviewing both the DAT and the SACD I have to disagree, there are sonic differences between the CD (RBCD) and the 2 channel SACD, the SACD is definitively higher resolution.
Unfortunately some of the flaws from the original recording are more obvious. Tape hiss and a low pitch hum on the first cut 'Singing Winds, Crying Beasts' being some of the more noticeable. Remember this album was recorded in 1970 before Santana was a 'Super Star' and may not have been getting the Best of the Best yet.
Whatever the flaws this is still Santana's breakout album and in my humble opinion one of the top fusion albums of all time.
