Hi there, I'm looking to buy a Sony XA5400ES (220v) online from Europe and ship it back to Singapore. I notice alot of websites such as play.com does not do international shipping and dnet24.de does not reply to my email! Is there any online shops which I can get myself on that sony?

You'll have to check whether or not they do international shipping, but, if they do, http://www.sony.co.uk/product/hfc-cd-player/scd-xa5400es is an authorized site, which will ensure warranty coverage. If the UK is not good for you start at, https://shop.sonystyle-europe.com and select the country where you want to make the purchase.

Hi Seanyzf,
I was in love some time ago with PrimaLuna Euro tube amps, but this project fail due they are 230Volts in Portugal(all Euro zone), where is easy to me purchase equips.

I think the Euro Sony equips are 230Volts too(not 220V), But Iam not sure. IF a 230V SACD is used in a 220V line(205V/215V in real life at my house)
it can be dangerous to the equip Power Supply or at least bad sound result.
Looks a good idea you ask to the dealer the real voltage of the equip and the voltage of the dealer country. Certainly there is others experts in this site can help you with this issue, or any Europe resident too.
Good Luck,

Hi, I have went to sony uk and germany as they are using the same voltage rating as in singapore but however their price is way too high. For example play.com is selling for ard 870 euro but sony germany is selling at 1499 euro! that is alot of diff! lol

Fullrangeman, my best bet is to get from uk or germany due to we are using the same voltage line. :)

This is according what I know indeed. I have a paper chart and it inform both Singapore and Euro Zone are 230Volts, so looks there is no Voltage problems for Seanyzf.
The 220Volts below are a typo.

Dear Disbeliever,
In my house standard of Tension is 220Volts(empty promise from the electric company), but in real life is 205-213Volts only.
As your Euro standard Tension is 230Volts, Iam curious about your real voltage on the mains wall.
Do you could take a Volts meter and inform me what is your real voltage on the wall?
Thanks

230 Volts is the official EU standard but I agree it does vary considerably depending on useage & time of day/night. I will obtain a accurate reading and let you know

Sorry the out of topic.
For me one of the best large online store is Amazon-UK, you have many warranties. All the problems that I had in my SACD orders with them, have been resolved gracefully.
But the Sony-5400 price is around £1,500, seems the regular price. A very low price is unusual and suspect, unless it is on used equipment( a risk to buy too).
