I hate to be a nay-sayer, but why?

Why not the d'Indy disc that they're selling as a 24/96 download?

This is unusual that's for sure, let's hope it's a DSD recording. Not at all familiar with this orchestra.

I agree! We have a surfeit of Bruckner. d'Indy would have been nice.

Looking at that list of downloads including Smetana Arnold and others is very tempting and even more so when you look at Chandos own site and see how many of their recordings were 24/96 originally or DSD.eg All the R V Williams symphonies including the Antartic and his Film Music,Liszt tone poems,Tchaikovsly suites,Diepenbrock works etc etc Then if they are next to be made available the choice between this sacd disc and any of that lot is a no brainer.
At last kudos to Chandos.

I'm guessing they're only issuing SACDs of titles recorded in surround. While I wish there were more titles recorded that way, even if I'm once again (temporarily) listening in two-channel, I would be thrilled to see some of their 24/96 masters available for download! Can you say Bax Symphonies?!

can't trace any info on this 5th. live/studio? any ideas on its provenance?

As it is very cheap perhaps Chandos have no faith in it or are they trying to promote SACD?

There seems to be a tsunami of Brucker 5's. In addition to this one, there's the Janowski/Pentatone and now an Inbal/Exton being released. Sheesh...
