What's the deal with this release? Are there two versions (UCGD-9011 and UCGD-9023)?

Two different performances: the UCGD-9011-12 is from a 2009 performance at Bunka Kaikan and the UCGD-9023-24 is from Ozawa's 2010 Carnegie Hall performances. The baritone in the New York recording is Matthias Goerne (a plus for me, I'd expect, although I haven't heard either of these).

Thanks. What a luxury to release two recordings of the same work within one year. The second one is not listed on this site, BTW.

I have no idea how this has happened but my post was originally about the Ravel/Daphnis/Monteux release.

Incidentally don't bother with the Ozawa War Requiem (which came out some time ago)it isn't any where nearly as good as the Jap van Zweden performance on Challenge. Haven't heard the Noseda yet but I am not a great fan of his conducting.
