...............where it is being redigitized. :-(

He obviously has NOT made the switch to a multi~channel receiver/pre~amp so maybe that would be the next question......which route to go and Kal's question brings up another point......in order to do HDMI out, he would need an HDMI input to say the least!

Kal, at least someone on this forum is on their toes! Good point......

In fact my point is to experiment the passage from STEREO to MCh, into my system.
The Oppo option seems interesting, but if I understand well, with the OPPO option
the adoption of HDMI is highly recommended, while in my present configuration I
would prefer to initially adopting an all analog output connection to an NVA
separate pre-power amplification.
Mumble mumble... in any case if I search for Oppo-site in the web I find that
their players are all "ceased" or "coming soon", while on E_Bay I can only find
items from USA (I live in Europe-Italy).
The Oppo choice does not seem so straight and simple.
In that case, it is worth waiting for the bdp93 or the BDP-83SE is also a
good choice for the money?
I think around 1200-1500 euro including custom duties and shipping from USA.

SC..ITA, There is a NuForce version of the OPPO BDP~83 which has a US list price of $1295.00.

If you want to maintain analogue in your system, this is the way to go. It is available from Acoustic Sounds but I don't know if it was intended for the European market.

I have one and it is better than the OPPO BDP~83 SE.

The newer model (BDP-93) is mainly for 3D TV and video streaming and I'm sure they'll come out with a Special Edition (SE), as well.

Ciao,

A fellow paisan

Hi, I am considering to do the passage from strict stereo to multichannel.
I am only interested into SACD (not other formats).
Unfortunatly, I have noted that the market is quite restricted in this field,
and I have also the impression that in recent times the offer tends to become even smaller and smaller.
At present, my player is an ARCAM CD37 (only stereo SACD).
Thus, my request would be to buy a player that is at least at the same level of it in 2chs.
I consider both new and 2nd hand players.
Thank you very much for any idea or suggestion,
SC

As a pure MCH SACD player I could suggest the ATOLL SACD200

Interesting player. Any first-hand experiences with it? Atoll website says nothing about it...

Well, I have no first hand experience with it but did read a test of this player in a German magazine "Audio" where it got a very good ranking (reference class) Prices I found range from 1700 - 1950 euro.
The Atoll webside is a bit strange but you can find this player at
