Were they not all released at once? I ordered and paid for all 5!

Notoriously, MoFi and AP's sporadic release schedule is always a wait and see situation which is why, if one can be patient, the titles eventually show up at Amazon's third party vendors for $21.21 (usually from ImportCD) which if one does the calculations is equivalent to Buy 4 Get 1 Free (usually under $25 EACH w/s/h included......and they're brand new, sealed!

When they were first announced, it was made clear that they would be released one at a time over a six month period.

Thanks for the clarification guys. I must admit I didn't think the 2-3 days despatch was real but waiting up to 4 months for the last one is not funny. Time to get in touch with vendor!

I agree, very little compression. The bass lines read through clear than any version I've heard digitally, and the cymbals don't seem as thin as they were on the Sony SACD release. Which, to be fair, still sounds great, this version just seems tighter.
Can't wait for "Couldn't Stand the Weather." I, like others here, ordered all five.

My MoFi version arrived today. I listened to it in its entirety a few times first and then compared Mary Had A Little Lamb to the original Sony. The differences, although slight, are noticeable. The MoFi is more organic, the bass presence is greater and tighter, the cymbals are less splashy and Stevie's voice is much clearer. Additionally, the MoFi isn't as loud making it more crankable. Another good effort from the guys at MoFi.

I think I was expecting a little more presence on the MoFi version than what I got. Not to say the original Sony/Columbia version is bad, it's clearly not. But for me it just wasn't quite worth the upgrade given the price tag. I guess it IS nice however, that it's a hybrid so I can play it on a normal CD player if needed.
I also own "The Sky Is Crying" on the old MoFi label and it sounds quite good. That being said, I'm not sure if I will plunk down the same amount for a slight upgrade for that one as well.

>Regarding the sonics, without executing a controlled A/B test, I really couldn't tell much of a difference between this Mobile Fidelity (MoFi) version of this album vs. the older Sony/Columbia SACD from a few years back. This is rather unfortunate as I expected the MoFi version to contain slightly more presence than it's predecessor.
Frankly, I'm not surprised at all as I haven't heard about any DSD converters upgrades made by MoFi in recent years.
