Has the sort option gone away because of the outage? I always found sorting a label by date very helpful. I see there in descending order by catalog number, but that isn’t the same as date, especially Sony.

Thanks,
Tom

There's now two ways to display a list of titles for a label. The first is from "titles" above. Here you can select the label and sort order and this seems to be working as before. The second is by selecting a label (or rather the number after it) from "labels" above. This takes you to a new page called "alltitles" which provides a simpler single page list of all titles for that label, sorted by serial number. I thought it would be handy to have different viewing options. Also, because the links are now pseudo-static, it will help indexing by search engines such as Google.

I'm sorry to see the old sort by release date go. I buy most everything from Exton, Pentatone, Phillips, DGG, and some Telarc and Sony, among others. It was great to see the new issues became available simply by looking at the beginning of the list. The sort by cat no. doesn't hack it when they change catalog prefex alpha/numerics, as most do time-to-time. Whitness Sony's out of sequence Tchaikovsky: Piano Concerto No. 1 etc. - Volodos with a new SH prefex.

You can still sort by (descending) date. Just use the "titles" page above, make your genre/label selections (if required) then select Sort: Date. This is exactly the same as before except that selecting a label from "labels" now takes you off to a new single page view.

Your best option though is probably "recent additions", linked from the bottom of the home page. This displays all titles (again sorted by descending date) as they're added to the database.

What a dunce I am! That method works just great!

Thanks for your patience,
Tom
