3€/movie. Is that much?

Paying 3€ extra per movie so you don't have to get up every 2 hours to switch the disc? Does your couch have a built-in minibar and toilet, so to completely avoid having to get up during the evening?

The hard drives ship with catheters.

My 44.1/16 music server is raid 1 with occasional disk copy withdrawal for storage in an independent location.

Any server that takes a long time to rip onto should be at least tolerant of single disk failure.

Has anyone experimented with the SACd ripping code now being shared online?

Does not apply to me, sorry. I have no intent of getting a media server in a near future (like 10 years or so), and I watch DVD or BR maybe once a month. Just commented on the opinion that HD space is expensive, it really isn't. And nobody is going to make a mechanical disk change players anymore, ever.

I think so, when one can buy brand new DVDs for $5 and BluRays for as little as $10. Which I no longer do as after watching a movie a couple of times its like watching a rerun. Boring!

3€ = $4.27 just for hard disc space for ONE lousy movie, LOL! Now that is a rip-off!

That would erase the data!

However I do run the "Demagnetizing Sweep and Fade" from the "XLO/Reference Recordings Test & Burn-In CD" whenever my system starts to sound a little lifeless and dull. Every input including my Mac Mini computer is burned-in and demagnetized as needed as I have the these tones in iTunes as well as a physical disc.

All music recordings sound considerably better after I demagnetize using the tones on this disc.

I tried three different pianos in a shop yesterday.
Two of them where not well tuned and I can clearly "see and hear" the need to tune them.
But seriously Teresa, are you "tuning" your Mac?
Isn't that taking the PLACEBO EFFECT a bit too far?
Once again my advice is to get a good DAC.
You can't get anywhere near what a good DAC can do to improve your SQ from your Mac, by magic rites like "tuning" "toning" and other "Snake Oil solutions" you believe in.
You simply can't get more than a pint out of a pint bottle however much you keep trying!

It's not allowed to discuss any SACD ripping related topics on the site, I believe the rule also extends to DSD downloads, computer software used for DSD files playback, DSD-disc, SACD-R and DSD DAC's.
