Do we thank Tom for this one? Whatever, a chink of light a ray of hope that BSO will open up their vault...

This looks to be a most interesting disc and one imagines that the playing will be superb.

BSO Classics lives! This is one way to get on with life without a music director.

This is a must-buy for me as well. I have enjoyed their previous releases tremendously.

Tom - many thanks. In answer to Arnaldo, yes this is the Sound Mirror crew, at least one of them. But, Tom, it is not clear from the sa-cd.net listing or from the BSO website whether or not this in Mch. Can you confirm that?

Yes, it is like all the BSO/Soundmirror SACD releases, both stereo, 5.0 surround, and a stereo CD layer. The Soundmirror crew are the three happy looking guys on the right, with John Newton seated in the middle of them.

As an aside, I see that the BSO is taking down their site tonight starting at 9PM EST, until Monday at 4PM, for the upgrade to their new web site. This promises good things for future download releases.

Thanks, Tom. It's as I figured. Ordered yesterday with great anticipation. But, one would wonder why the BSO does not make it clear it is in Mch.
