Has anyone looked at the latest postings on the EMIMusic website? The idiots that run the label make it IMPOSSIBLE to find the SACD discs via search...

The recorded music industry continues to be in the hands of the people who destroyed it... UGH

Bearing in mind EMI's position with respect to possible / imminent takeover by Universal, a lack of any coherent marketing strategy by our Classics colleagues is not too surprising!

Point taken!

That's a bit harsh in view of Simon's input above.

IMO, Gonzo has an interesting relationship with facts...

Hi Simon can you confirm if the new Master series RBCDs are essentially the RBCD layer of the Japanese SACDs?

any news on whether we'll get more of the sacd reissues in the west from emi?

The latest issue of Stereophile, October 2012 has an article on the Signature series. They note another/second unspecified batch of 10 due out in November. Implicit references to this thread in the Stereophile article.

They traditionally have trouble making inferences, especially when numbers and in especial significances are concerned. Perhaps they've confused those with the EMI Music Japan releases?

That's fantastic. I'm hoping the Gieseking Ravel or the Klemperer Wagner will be part of the release.

Hi - I'm pretty certain that these EMI Masters are straight renumberings of old remasters - check the individual DRM dates for confirmation. Unfortunately, EMI doesn't do joined-up thinking, so the new remasters made for SACD are not being used here.

I heard from one of the UK mail order suppliers (no links, no names!) that he has been led to believe that there will be another batch of EMI Sacd's in the UK in January and more throughout 2013.
