Brautigam manages to keep up his perfect record with volume 11 -- his recording of the "Eroica Variations" is absolutely sizzling. The Conrad Graf c.1819 he uses in it has a beautifully tone with an impressive dynamic range.

Thanks for the head up, I always wanted to buy one of Brautigam Beethoven SACD's but I have so many sonatas that resisted. Listening to the sound clips on Amazon, this particular Piano Forte seems to have a really nice sound thus I placed my order. I am also not very familiar with the music.

If you want to listen, why don't you go to either www.eclassical.com or www.bis.se, where you can "taste" the whole programme in much better sound quality?
