Really? I assume you are referrng to the original. I wonder where I could hear some excerpts of 'Amused to Death" as I'm obviously quite interested?

Try the MP3 samples at Amazon US.

... it does appear to answer one question. The remaster will be in 2.0 stereo and preserve the Q-Sound from twenty-one years ago....

It would be so nice if it was in 5.1 MCH ...

It ain't gonna happen............but it really should!

Unless a true 5.1 master exists, Analogue Productions is NOT going to create one unless it's created for them (Time Out and Come Away With Me and the upcoming DOORS SACDs).

But at least we have the WALL to look forward to in 5.1 (If Wish You Were Here was any indication).

Rammiepie I watched an interview with Chad Kassem and only the stereo program gets remastered, the multichannel program (if available) is taken verbatim as a bonus. It's the stereo program that is given tender loving care.

But I do believe the anomaly on the multichannel track of Norah Jones Come Away With Me on the original Blue Note SACD was corrected when transferred for the AP stereo/mch SACD remaster.

Over at Acoustic Sounds they are advertising a September 23, 2014 release date. It is now being advertised as a multichannel release. Worth the wait, in my opinion.

A rational decision on AP's part since the originally proposed Q sound master ( a form of matrix stereo), I'm sure, was comprised of true multichannel elements. And a James Guthrie 5.1 mix, as well!

May NOT have the sales potential of Wish You Were Here but most probably a close second!

Thanks for the heads~up, belaruskamerican.
