This is a spectacular recording of one of my favorite pieces, but not my favorite interpretation. This performance is slower and has a more melancholy feel than others. Not that there is anything wrong with that, just as some like there Beethoven light and quick and some like it slower and more profound. But the singing is beautiful and I'm sure I'll return to this recording occasionally as the mood strikes.
