I already have three other SACDs in this series; the London ,the Pastoral and the 6th and 8th and like them all very much.I like the performance here too,but must agree with Nucleena that there is some hardness and lack of resolution on massed strings especially.I played this SACD only minutes after having played Beethovens 4th from the Karajan DGG set,and preferred the 40+ year old DGG recording over the Chandos.Maybe the reason is, as Nucleena suggests in his review that it is "only" a 20 bit pcm master?
