Perhaps one of the greatest POP/Rock albums you've never heard of. 14 cuts and nearly 50 minutes of incredibly well played rock, uncompressed, in which raucous sound effects segue into melodic ditties by some amazingly well~ accomplished musicians. It's hard to pick a favorite cut because, in reality, they're all great and I'm hard pressed to say that with all the pseudo crap out there today, the Suitcase Pimps deserve a place in the Parthenon of rock demi~gods.
Played through my Marantz SA112s into my Meridian 861 V.6 in Trifield mode, this stereo (and I believe DSD recorded) album has an immersive surround field and if I didn't know better would swear it's multichannel (but, alas, it's not).
Amazon has this album at a decent price, new, so before it disappears forever, take the plunge and add Suitcase Pimps' "Love Is Grand" to your ever expanding SACD collection.
You won't regret the purchase.
I'm really wondering if these guys are from Liverpool?
Just kidding....but they're insanely great!
