Performance:   Sonics:
Quite an exotic mix of almost-improvised "melodies" using African instruments, Bala (hardwood xylophone played rubber-coated sticks), Ngoni (flute with boat-shaped wood box played with the fingers), Kora (harp-flute with 2 parallel string sets attached to cowskin board).

Played at realistic levels, the listener can "feel" the 3 instruments right in the living room, each from one of the left or center or right channels (surround channels have some "auxillary sounds", can be confusing at times). Some melodies are very rythmic, others more disturbing, but overall it's an great alternative experience. Highly recommended.
