I have been reluctant to write a review on this sacd as it means the excellent review from will disappear...This is a stunning sacd in fabulous DSD sound and will impress from the very first Loud notes,,Musically This is a very modern picture painting symphony with a wide variety of sonic impressions of what must be a rugged Faroe Island coastline constantly being hit,,Its a bit like the timpani from the Rite of Spring has been the starting point at times but I am sure other listener( Viktor) will find reference points in other modernist composers,.I am tempted to say that another one of these composers who has been discussed at length could do with a listen to this,,,
It is subtitled Oceanic Days and it was the winner of a Nordic Council Prize in 2002...You will not get to appreciate this in one sitting and it has proved a good source for removing the missus for listening sessions..
And Now for a bit of Danish Sax...Ive always wanted to use that chatup line but never dared..The Sax concerto for different sax instruments is also astounding.subtitles Against the Light and is fabulously played and recorded..If you want something really different in fantastic sound..This is it..Dacapo should be congratulated// Dave

The sunlight glitters on the vast northern ocean as a panorama of sea and sky unfolds with dramatic percussion over blocks of string, brass, woodwind and even some human voices. A truly stunning record which utilises the surround sound capabilities of sacd to the full.
