This 1972 recording is one of my favourite Can albums. It is also very accessible to Can newcomers and well recorded. The first "side" consists of 3 songs and the second "side" of a single track with long instrumental passages.

I don't have any previous releases of this album to compare it too, but the SACD seems to be an excellent transfer. It sounds very direct and dynamic, and the frequency balance is slightly on the analytical side without being too bright. No (unmusical) distortion or tape hiss. My 3.5 stars are meant to rate the absolute sound quality, not the transfer.

Future Days is one of my favourite Krautrock albums of all time....and for good reason! On Future Days everything clicked for progressive mavericks CAN ! Huge picturesque soundscapes, awesome space guitars (aka Saucerful of Secrets).....affected vocals, hypnotic bass and circular drumming.

Sounds good eh !

The spoon SACD`s of the CAN catalogue are quite good and I would recommend you get these little gems before they go bye bye........Ege Bamyasi is awesome too on SACD!

The sound is nice and full and these SACD's are a mammoth improvement over the redbook CD's that I used to have. Can are a band you have to really sit and listen to and these SACD remasters make that a whole new experience.

If you have never really given CAN a try I would recommend you start here with this album...turn off all the lights..shut the windows and tell the kids to take some ridlin!

I am a huge fan of CAN and have been for a long long time but right now I am in the mood for some Future Days ....how about you ?
