Performance:   Sonics:
This is good performance of Brahms' Second Symphony. James Judd understands Brahms' familiar and beautiful score, and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra plays purely and warmly. Fourth movement is quite slow, I recommend Vladimir Jurowski's recording with London Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO). The Academic Festival Overture is nice bonus: the solemnly end sounds very good. Membran label's recording sound is pure and natural (specially in 5.1 DSD multi-channel mode) and it captured C.T.S studios surrounding acoustic very well. Good introduction to Brahms' masterworks, if you don't know these works.
